Data Center and Server Rental

You do not have to keep your server in the office: you can rent one in our data center infrastructure in Istanbul, or host your own hardware there.

  • Rented physical and virtual servers
  • Colocation
  • Your data belongs to you

In brief

At 7 Tepe Bilişim, we offer rented physical and virtual servers, cloud servers and colocation in our data center infrastructure in Istanbul. It is for organizations that do not want to keep their server in the office, want to grow capacity as needed, or want to host their own hardware. Resources can be increased later, and traffic is quota-based. Backup space is part of the resources; backup management can be added as a separate service.

Is this for you?

A good fit if

You do not want to keep your server in the office, if you want to grow capacity as you need it, or if you want to host your own hardware in a secure place.

Not a fit if

You are only looking for an internet connection service.

What we offer

We work in 3 areas; the quote lists item by item which of them are in scope.

  • Rented physical and virtual servers

Together we set the processor, memory, disk, backup space, internet and IP resources to fit your needs.

  • Cloud server

You rent it in resource packages.

  • Colocation

Your own hardware stays in our data center infrastructure in Istanbul.

How it works

  1. First we work out what you need: processor, memory, disk, backup space, internet, IP and licenses.

  2. In the quote, we show the monthly recurring items and the one-time items (setup, data migration) in separate tables. We also state clearly what is out of scope.

  3. We prepare the server and hand it over to you with the access details. The setup time depends on when the information and access reach us.

  4. After that we continue monitoring and management; if you wish, we add backup and managed IT services.

What you see in the quote, and how

  • Two separate tables: We invoice the monthly recurring items and the one-time items separately; renewal is based on the monthly items.
  • License is a separate item: You can rent operating system, database and remote desktop access licenses; we list them separately in the quote.
  • Resource increase: When you want to grow, a unit price table for processor, memory, storage, backup space, IP and licenses is part of the quote.

What the management service covers

Management is optional; we write its scope item by item: server monitoring, operating system management (security patches, configuration), firewall rule management, backup management, technical support and a monthly engineering hours quota. We write the quota in the quote as a number.

Monitoring and response are different things. Monitoring can be automatic; we respond by priority level (Critical, High, Medium, Low) within written times. We write the times in the quote and in the contract.

Your part

For the setup, you need to give us the required information and access, carry the responsibility as the owner of the application and the data, and tell us about changes.

What we deliver and what is out of scope

What we deliver

  • Ready server or environment
  • Access details
  • Resource table
  • Optional backup and monitoring

Out of scope

  • New server, platform or location setup projects
  • Hardware, software and license procurement
  • Data migration and version upgrades
  • Application development
  • Planned work outside business hours and on-site visits
  • Penetration testing
  • End-user device support

These are separate work; we offer them with a separate quote.

Key principles

  1. Infrastructure rental is a separate item from the management service

Even if the rental ends, we can continue the management; you can also choose not to take management at all.

  2. Traffic is quota-based

We handle quota overage and resource increases with the unit price table.

  3. Level-based availability target

The target is level-based (single node or redundant) and planned maintenance is outside it. We write the target in the quote and in the contract.

  4. Your data is yours

At the end of the contract, we give you a window to access and take your data.

Typical situations

  • Scenario 1

For example the server in your office has become old and you are thinking of renting instead of buying a new one. Together we work out what you need (processor, memory, disk) and prepare the rented server in our data center infrastructure. We plan the data migration separately.

  • Scenario 2

You want to keep using your own hardware but do not want to keep it in the office. With colocation, your hardware stays in our data center infrastructure; if you wish, you take its management together with the managed IT service.
